Taking care of your Torrent garment!
Make sure that your Torrent clothing continues to perform optimally for a very long time by paying close attention to the washing instructions printed on the label inside each garment. As a general rule, you should wash in cold water with a mild detergent and lay out flat the garment to dry.
As with most waterproof and breatheable clothing, the original water resistant finish is DWR (Durable, Water-Repellant) which prevents the surface from becoming saturated, thus permitting high breatheability. This finish should be checked at least one time a season - more often if heavily used or washed often. If water no longer beads on the surface of the garment, it is time to give it another coating of DWR.
Warnings:
- Never dry clean ;
- Do not use bleach or softeners;
- Never iron. The synthetic fibers used int these products cannot support heat.
- Do not put them in a dryer;
- Avoid contact with mosquito repellant containing DEET.
Stain removal;
- To remove persistant stains from your technical clothing, moisten and rub the spot with a dab of dishwashing soap. Then wash the garment in cold water with a mild detergent.
