We are privileged to have among our partners some of the best fly tyers in Quebec. Here is a brief list of their achievements.

Claude Bédard

Twice a FQSA world champion fly tyer, Claude Bédard is a master among masters. He excels to be sure at creating classic salmon flies, but he is an expert as well at all other types of flies. For many years he has been a guide for trout fishing and a competitor in a variety of national championships. His experience has led him to develop unique fly models which are sought after by fly fishing experts.

At Torrent, Claude offers you his salmon fly box, and his personal selection of streamers.

Serge Brunelle

Serge Brunelle is a fly tyer who specializes, to our great pleasure, in flies for smallmouth bass. He has used his years of experience fishing for smallmouth bass to develop his patterns following an incomparable rigorous method. The variety of his patterns affords success in all possible smallmouth fishing situations. In addition to being an inveterate fisher, he is a regular presenter at fly fishing clubs in Quebec.

A sampler of Serge's creations - divers, sliders and poppers - is available at Torrent. Serge Brunelle Smallmouth bass selection

Bruno Isabelle

Bruno Isabelle has waded through the rivers of the Eastern Townships for more than 15 years. He specializes in creating dry flies for the selective trout that inhabit many heavily fished waters in the region. This specialization brought him the 2002 bronze medal in the dry fly category of the prestigious Mustad international championship. Over the past few years, he has developed a new passion for Autumn steelhead fishing in the tributaries of Lake Erie.
His boxed set of dry flies for selective trout and a selection for steelhead are waiting for you at Torrent.
